- How do I use the placeholder image URL?
- Put it in an img tag or any image field: https://reactframe.com/api/placeholder/600x400 returns a 600×400 SVG, and adding .png returns a PNG. Add ?bg=111827&fg=f9fafb&text=Hello to change the colors and the text.
- Is the placeholder image API free?
- Yes. It's free with no sign-up or API key. Images are cached at the edge, so the same URL loads fast every time.
- SVG or PNG?
- SVG is tiny and sharp at any size, which is perfect for prototypes and HTML. Use PNG for next/image (which blocks remote SVGs by default), emails and tools that don't accept SVG.
- What sizes are supported?
- Any width and height from 1 to 4000 pixels. Use a single number like /api/placeholder/300 for a square.
- Does it work with next/image?
- Yes, with the PNG format. Add reactframe.com to images.remotePatterns in next.config, then use the .png URL as the src.
